Aaliyah and Shane were married a few weekends ago at the beautiful Historic Post Office, in downtown Hampton, Virginia. They were the winners of the Beautiful Beginnings Wedding Giftaway that we hosted last year, along with an amazing team of vendors, who all joined forces to give away a free wedding! Aaliyah and Shane’s love story captured all of our hearts, (get to know them in this blog post) and I loved being able to design their flowers for their wedding day!
Aaliyah and Shane dreamed of an elegant, gold-studded wedding, with blush and pops of lavender as the main colors. I used some gorgeous spring blooms like French Lavender, blush garden roses, sweet peas, and blush ranunculus to accentuate their color palette and I topped it off with a pop of eucalyptus greenery! I love how the bouquets popped off of the bridesmaid dresses that Aaliyah chose from Rent the Runway (because who doesn’t love gold sparkly sequin dresses am I right?!) and her wedding dress from Maya Couture was drop-dead gorgeous! The brand-new Historic Post Office, situated in Downtown Hampton, was the perfect backdrop for Aaliyah and Shane’s wedding, and the team of vendors who worked together to make their day perfect was such a joy to work with!
