Rachel and Mike had the perfect wedding day at one of my absolute favorite wedding venues, Early Mountain Vineyard, in Charlottesville. The very first time I talked to Rachel and Mike was over a Skype call, and I just immediately loved both of them and how down to earth and fun they both were! Throughout the planning process, I was able to meet Rachel’s sister and mom too, and we even got to meet up for coffee just to catch up!! I’m so happy that I was able to design their wedding flowers, and that we became frinds!! Early Mountain so beautiful in the fall, and Rachel and Mike had their ceremony outside and had the gorgeous Charlottesville mountain views as a backdrop to many of their lovely portraits!! Rachel envisioned white and green flowers, with pops of burgundy, and dusty blue, her accent color! The bridesmaids wore that beautiful dusty blue shade, which was such a lovely contrast to their white and burgundy bouquets, and Rachel’s bouquet was full of some of my favorite blooms, including ranunculus, peonies, garden roses, anemones and more! The ceremony focal point was a natural birchwood chuppah, with whimsical greenery designed on it and lovely fabric draping.

Karen and Tim’s Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery fall wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia was an absolute dream!! I loved working with these two lovebirds to create their romantic red and dusty rose colored floral designs, and they had perfect early fall weather in the mountains for their intimate, elegant wedding. I had never been to the Albemarle Estate in Charlottesville, and it was quite a treat!! I loved working with a great team of vendors, including Tara Liebeck Photography, who captured all the beautiful moments throughout the day, and have listed the rest of the team below!! Enjoy this beautiful wedding! 🙂

I’m excited to share with you a system that I have been using for my business that has changed my life!! When I first started my business, I was also working a full-time job (like many others), and I remember my “work”” hours were SO verrrrrry limited. Tasks like emailing, creating custom proposals, contracts, invoicing and keeping up with payments are crucial to your small business being able to operate… but those tasks take TIME! Even back then, I knew that the way I was operating wasn’t the simplest way, and that I needed to make a change!! Before I introduce you to my secret weapon, I do just want to say that this company did not pay me to promote their product or write this post; I simply want to write it so that you know all about this system and how it can help YOU!

So, I’m writing this blog as I sit watching the rain just POUR down here in Hampton Roads. I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen actual sunshine in over a week now, and I realized halfway through this week I need to buy rain boots. This weather has inspired my very last “Fall Weddings Series” post on Dealing with the Elements!! As a bride who dealt with the elements on my big day, I know it’s important to have a few little details in place, just in case!! 🙂
