Makenna and Mitchell had a lovely wedding day at one of my favorite Hampton Roads wedding venues, the Historic Post Office, in Hampton, Virginia! Their December wedding had a winter-y and romantic feel, and Makenna envisioned burgundy, white, blush and navy flowers, with greenery, and the contrast looked perfect against the emerald green bridesmaid dresses, and paired with her gorgeous wedding gown! The bouquets were full of garden roses, anemones, ranunculus, privet berries and more winter blooms, with a variety of textured greenery. The ceremony focal point was a beautiful wooden cross, with flowers in the center, which was such a special and unique touch to their intimate wedding! The day was photographed by Molly Lichten Photography who did such a wonderful job, and I also loved working alongside Hannah Hildebrandt Events, who coordinated all the details perfectly! Back in the fall of 2017, I was so excited to be asked to be a part of Callie Lindsey’s Photography workshop styled shoot, in one of my favorite places in the world… Charleston, South Carolina!! I love being able to design flowers for shoots for my photographer friends workshops, because the styled shoots always have such a great purpose behind them- teaching other wedding photographers how to take better photos and how to hone in on their photography skills! Hannah, of Hannah Marie Events, planned the shoot, and we decided to play on the natural beauty of the Lowcountry and use neutral white flowers, with pops of magnolia foliage to accentuate all the southern charm that Charleston exudes. The shoot was set outdoors, beneath the lovely draping Spanish Moss, and all the details were just gorgeous! Scroll to the bottom to see all the participating vendors, and enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Rachel and Mike had the perfect wedding day at one of my absolute favorite wedding venues, Early Mountain Vineyard, in Charlottesville. The very first time I talked to Rachel and Mike was over a Skype call, and I just immediately loved both of them and how down to earth and fun they both were! Throughout the planning process, I was able to meet Rachel’s sister and mom too, and we even got to meet up for coffee just to catch up!! I’m so happy that I was able to design their wedding flowers, and that we became frinds!! Early Mountain so beautiful in the fall, and Rachel and Mike had their ceremony outside and had the gorgeous Charlottesville mountain views as a backdrop to many of their lovely portraits!! Rachel envisioned white and green flowers, with pops of burgundy, and dusty blue, her accent color! The bridesmaids wore that beautiful dusty blue shade, which was such a lovely contrast to their white and burgundy bouquets, and Rachel’s bouquet was full of some of my favorite blooms, including ranunculus, peonies, garden roses, anemones and more! The ceremony focal point was a natural birchwood chuppah, with whimsical greenery designed on it and lovely fabric draping.

Ginny and Andrew had an absolutely beautiful wedding at the Hermitage Museum in Norfolk, Virginia, which is easily one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Hampton Roads! Ginny and Andrew envisioned classic, romantic floral designs, with lush bouquets and centerpieces filled with lots of beautiful blush, champagne and ivory blooms! For the flowers, we used eucalyptus with ranunculus, garden roses, spray roses and cafe au lait dahlias in the bouquets and centerpieces- I love how the bouquets and blush hand-dyed silk ribbon streamers paired effortlessly with the beautiful mauve-inspired bridesmaid dresses- definitely a favorite of 2017! The Hermitage Museum had the most beautiful string lighting set up outside, and Ginny, Andrew and all their guests danced away under the stars- it was magical! Their wedding day was photographed by Compo Photography who did such a wonderful job! Check out the end of this post for a list of all the vendors who brought Ginny and Andrew’s wedding day to life- and enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Taylor and Tyler had an absolutely beautiful wedding at the Lodge at Mount Ida in Charlottesville, Virginia, one of new my favorite wedding venues!! The weather in early September on their wedding day was absolutely perfect, with sunshine, a light breeze and gorgeous mountain views! Taylor envisioned neutral, organic floral designs, with greenery garlands draped down the long tables at Mount Ida, and we used eucalyptus with anemones, garden roses, ranunculus and dahlias in the bouquets and centerpieces to make her vision come to life. I love how the bouquets looked up against the beautiful blush bridesmaid dresses, and the gorgeous gold accents (even gold flatware!!) paired SO well with a champagne linen for the round tables!  The reception space at Mount Ida was absolutely perfect, filled with ethereal, neutral details, and even some fun pops of acylic, for the table numbers and escort cards! Their wedding day was photographed by Birds of a Feather Photography, who did such a wonderful job, and I also loved working alongside Hitched by Heather, who planned their entire wedding day!! Check out the end of this post for a list of all the vendors who brought Taylor and Tyler’s wedding day to life- and enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚
