It’s not every day I get to design flowers for a stunning, intimate St. Patrick’s Day party, so I was excited to design for this elegant and fun dinner back in March! The couple hosted the party at their home in Poquoson, Virginia, and it was a gorgeous venue with modern decor, beautiful pieces of art, and waterfront views. Luciana, with Luxe and Luna Events, designed and planned, and she envisioned a color palette of shades of copper, whites, black, and light greenery, with a pop of gold for a sophisticated feel.

Kelsey and Steve had an absolutely beautiful wedding day at the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia! The picturesque waterfront setting, complete with gorgeous landscaping, lots of boats, and a spectacular sunset, made for such a romantic nautical atmosphere. Kelsey and Steve envisioned a coastal southern color palette with blush, white, and sky blue combined with delicate accents of greenery. To bring their vision to life, we used lots of peonies, ranunculus, garden roses, tweedia, and eucalyptus leave. It all smelled so good! The bouquets were tied off with our French Blue and Playa Blanca silk ribbons, and the colors perfectly complimented Kelsey’s stunning wedding dress!

I’m so excited to share a recap of the Small Business and Floral Design Workshop I hosted in April! Caroline and Jenna from Bloom Fresh Flowers in Alexandria, Virginia, traveled in for an entire day devoted to specifically diving into their business!

After getting to know each other over breakfast and coffee, we got started with the workshop content. We discussed how to market your floral design business, book clients, create design proposals, and more! We planned out a strategy for Caroline and Jenna by discussing the long-term goals for Bloom Fresh Flowers and breaking them down into manageable steps. Specifically, we talked about streamlining their current processes, finding more ideal clients, and ways to invigorate their marketing and online presence! After a break for lunch, we had some fun designing bouquets and centerpieces! Sarah Vanderford Photography was there to capture some candid shots of us working, as well as our gorgeous final designs, and I have loved looking at the #courtneyinghramworkshop hashtag to see how they are using their images!

Kelly and Drew had a gorgeous wedding day at the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia! The spectacular, nautical waterfront venue was the perfect scenic backdrop for their outdoor ceremony. Kelly and Drew envisioned a classic, neutral color palette with shades of white and blush and lots of dramatic greenery. To bring their vision to life, we used blush ranunculus, anemones (the bride’s favorite flower), and a mix of garden roses, as well as olive and eucalyptus greenery. The effect was simply stunning! The bouquets were tied off with our Cappuccino silk ribbon, which perfectly complemented Kelly’s amazing wedding dress.

To really make a statement in the reception space, we used more ranunculus and garden roses, paired with rich olive and eucalyptus leaves, to design lush floral centerpieces surrounded by votives for a romantic, candlelit effect. It all turned out gorgeous! Kelly and Drew’s wedding day was photographed by Molly Scott Photography, who did an amazing job, and I loved working with the staff at the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club! Kelly and Drew are just the sweetest couple – I was honored and overjoyed to be part of their special day! Jen and Mike had a gorgeous October wedding day at Indian Creek Golf Club in Kilmarnock, Virginia! This outdoor venue is an amazing place for a romantic fall wedding – the waterfront setting was a spectacular backdrop filled with lush greenery! Jen and Mike envisioned a classic garden-themed color palette with delicate shades of blush and white, paired with lots of greenery, and the result was absolutely beautiful! To bring their floral vision to life, we used lots of cafe au lait dahlias with a variety of garden roses and ranunculus – everything smelled amazing! Jen’s exquisite lace wedding gown stole the show, and it looked stunning with her romantic blush and white bouquet, which was tied off with our O’Hara Blush silk ribbon. I am SO excited to share a recap of a Private Business and Floral Design workshop I hosted in February! I welcomed the ladies behind the Corner House B&B, Jenny and Kelley, into our home and studio for an entire day full of learning and we had an amazing time together! The Corner House B&B is in Rockport, Indiana, so it was such an honor to welcome these ladies who flew in from a different state for the workshop, and it was so fun being able to devote the entire day to specifically diving into their business!

We started off the day with coffee/tea and breakfast and then dove straight into the content- where I taught about marketing, the booking process, creating design proposals, and more! We talked about how to market your new business without going into debt, how to book brides in a simple and straightforward way that doesn’t involve dozens of emails, time spent tweaking proposals and research, and how to create proposals that convert and showcase the creative vision of both you and your client! We made an action plan for the Corner House and discussed their overarching goals and broke it up into manageable steps. Specifically, we focused on streamlining and ways to invigorate their marketing efforts and online presence!
