Virginia is such a lovely place to call home, and I am always so excited to visit new wedding venues all over the state to design flowers for my sweet brides! I have been to many different venues throughout the last several years, and I thought it would be helpful for any of my engaged readers to share my top 10 favorites (it was SO hard to choose), and features I love of each!! That way, you can use this as a guide if YOU are still searching for that perfect wedding venue for your big day! So, in no particular order, here are 10 wedding venues that are sure to impress! 

Flower crowns are one of my favorite things ever! Pair that with fun ladies, Tianna at Yours Truly Portraiture and lots of sweet snacks and drinks, and you have yourself an amazing flower crown design party! We had a blast a few weeks ago at Cupcakes, Crowns, and Cocktails, a flower crown workshop held at the Studio at Chelsea Commons in Chesapeake! We had such an awesome time creating flower crowns together, while enjoying laughs and hilarious stories, and all the pretty details were captured beautifully by Tianna! Thanks so much to each of the girls who joined in- I enjoyed being able to share my love of flowers with each of you, and you all did a phenomenal job with your flower crowns! 🙂

This dreamy Charlottesville, Virginia wedding was one of my FAVORITES this year!!! When Jessica and I first talked about her organic, gold-infused, candlelit, winter wedding at Early Mountain Vineyards near Charlottesville, I knew it was going to be absolutely breathtaking! Jessica was the sweetest bride to work with, and being an interior designer herself, has impeccable taste and an amazing vision for her wedding- I literally was counting the days until her gorgeous day!! She dreamt of a romantic soiree, with lots of lush greenery and pops of white flowers!! SWOON! To compliment that, I used anemones, white garden roses, veronica, ranunculus and a variety of greenery, including eucalyptus! This was such a wonderful way to end my 2016 wedding season, and I truly enjoyed every minute of their wedding, including working with an amazing vendor team! I have never paid for “traditional” business advertising, such as print ads, paid wedding accounts, bridal expos etc. Social media is such a powerful, FREE form of advertisement, that so far, has worked well for my business! For reaching new potential brides, I love to use Facebook, Instagram, local wedding blogs, styled shoots, and Pinterest!! Every time I post a blog, I upload it directly to Pinterest, so I can reach brides on that platform as well. Pinterest is one of the largest and fastest growing social media sites, and brides are on it A LOT, browsing wedding ideas. It’s one of the best places to share a wedding bouquet you created, that gorgeous bride and groom portrait you shot from a vineyard wedding last week, or that beautiful custom invitation suite! Today I’m sharing the simple way that you can pin your blog posts straight to Pinterest, so you can start promoting your content on there as well!

This styled shoot was an absolute dream to be a part of!!! I was so honored to design the flowers for this blush-inspired shoot, and the team of Virginia wedding vendors that were involved are all absolutely amazing!! 🙂 It’s so wonderful to be able to collaborate with like-minded wedding pros and create beautiful inspiration!
