Nila and Haiig were married in June at the beautiful Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia! Stone Tower is such a lovely venue, with so much natural light pouring into the reception space, and large patios overlooking the vineyard with rolling hills and sweeping views- so romantic! Nila and Haiig chose a color palette of whites and blushes, paired with pops of light pink and coral, and I loved using our hand-dyed silk ribbon streamers in blush and cafe au lait to tie off the bouquets and compliment all the gorgeous dresses! To bring their vision to life, we used lots of fluffy peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, and more- everything smelled SO good!! Nila’s wedding dress was absolutely breathtaking, with the romantic lace giving it such an elegant style, and it looked so lovely paired with the blush colored BHLDN bridesmaid dresses! Their wedding day was photographed by Anna Kardos Photography, who did such a wonderful job, and we loved working with the team at Blush Events and Stone Tower Winery as well! Nila and Haiig two are just the sweetest, and it was such a joy and honor to be a part of their wedding day! Bethany and Jeff were married the first weekend of April this year, and we were surprised with snow on their wedding day! 🙂 There was no better venue to cozy up and enjoy this last winter snow than at Early Mountain Vineyard, with its roaring fireplaces, twinkling Edison Bulb lighting, and inviting indoor space! Bethany and Jeff’s classic blush and white color palette, paired with greenery was perfect for their early spring wedding, and I love how the flowers coordinated with the beautiful blush bridesmaid dresses! To bring their floral design vision to life, we used lots of blush ranunculus, garden roses, snowberries, spray roses and a mix of eucalyptus greens- everything smelled SO good!! The reception was filled with greenery garlands and a mix of candles, using gold votives and a variety of pillar candles- the effect was so soft and romantic, perfect for an early spring wedding! Their wedding day was photographed by Bethany Snyder Photography, who did such a wonderful job, and we loved working alongside Helen and her amazing team at The Local Catering and the amazing ladies at Early Mountain as well! Bethany was such a joy to work with, and her and Jeff are such a sweet couple- it was such an honor to be a part of their wedding day! Last year, I was so honored and excited to design the flowers for Katelyn James Photography’s workshop styled shoot in Richmond, alongside some of my favorite wedding vendors!! I love the way this rust, blush and cream fall wedding inspiration came together for the workshop- I was so excited about the “flower towers” we used for the ceremony space, and the beautiful tablescape full of lots of gorgeous fall blooms!! For flowers, we used a variety of locally grown dahlias, garden roses, rust amaranthus, and ranunculus, as well as a variety of greens! The silk ribbons and silk table runner were also hand-dyed (by me), and it was fun coming up with the perfect shade of rust (I especially love the way the runner is styled on this table!) Being able to design flowers for shoots for my photographer friends workshops is always so fun, because the styled shoots always have such a great purpose behind them- teaching other wedding photographers how to take better photos and how to hone in on their photography skills! They are also full of beautiful details, and I am always blown away by the thoughtfulness and talent of each of the participants and the photography workshop attendees too! Kat, of Dear Sweetheart Events did such an amazing job planning the shoot, and the other vendors we collaborated with were all incredible!! Katelyn of course did an incredible job capturing all the details and teaching all of her lovely attendees, and I had the absolute best time hanging out with them for the day! I could go on and on about how the entire day was a dream, but I know you want to see the photos now, so enjoy!! Scroll to the bottom to see all the participating vendors!

I am SO excited to share a recap of the November Business and Floral Design workshop! We welcomed the workshop attendees into our home and studio for an entire day full of learning, laughter and the beginning of new friendships, and we all had an amazing time together! The attendees came from all over the East Coast- including flying in from Boston and New Hampshire, and then driving from Maryland and Virginia, and it was so fun being together and getting to know everyone!
We started off the day with coffee/tea and breakfast and then dove straight into the content- where I taught about the client experience, marketing, and the booking process. We talked about finding ideal clients, how to market your business in a smart way (mainly using social media marketing and cultivating vendor relationships), and how to book brides in a simple and straightforward way that doesn’t involve dozens of emails, time spent tweaking proposals and research! Those topics took us all the way up to lunch, where then we ate some delicious chili and snacks, (thanks Jason and Janna!) and then we jumped into the bouquet design!

Jane and Red enjoyed a beautiful July wedding day filled with sunshine and a mountain breeze, in Lexington, Virginia, at one of my favorite venues, Big Spring Farm! Big Spring is such a lovely spot for a summer wedding, with mountain views, water views, and a gorgeous natural barn for the reception! Red and Jane’s classic dusty blush and white color palette, paired with greenery was the perfect color scheme for their summertime wedding (it’s forever a favorite of mine!), and I loved how our Gardenia silk ribbons popped off the different styles of bridesmaid dresses! To bring their floral design vision to life, we used lots of garden roses, ranunculus, cafe au lait dahlias, astilbe, stock and and lots of greens- everything smelled SO good!! Their wedding day was photographed by Alisandra Photography, who did such a wonderful job, and we loved working alongside Kat, and her amazing team at Dear Sweetheart Events, and Big Spring Farm as well! Jane and Red are such a sweet, down-to-earth couple, and it was such a joy and honor to be a part of their wedding day, and celebrate them! We have even had the opportunity to hang out with Jane and Red after the wedding day too- my absolute favorite is when my clients turn into our friends- so fun! 🙂 Scroll to the end of this post for a list of all the vendors who brought Jane and Red’s wedding day to life, and enjoy scrolling through their wedding photos!
