I am so excited to share the recap of the CIE Blooms & Brunch workshop today on the blog! This was such a joy to be a part of, and I had an amazing time teaching attendees how to design a flower crown and bouquet. The attendees enjoyed mimosas, coffee, and a light brunch, along with a fun “swag bag” and lots of beautiful blooms! We used gorgeous shades of pink and burgundy as our color palette, and the beautiful artwork in the Corner Gallery in Norfolk added such a fun colorful touch to the space. Ruth, from Raise the Ruth Events, coordinated and styled every detail to perfection, with Lauren, from Lauren Perry Studio providing the paperie and Chelsea Anderson Photography capturing all the fun moments from the workshop! Attendees also had their headshots taken by Chelsea with their creations, and it’s been so fun to see them posting those online! I was so impressed by all the attendees and how quickly they all caught on to floral design- their flower crowns and bouquets were all gorgeous! We had an amazing time, and I’m so excited to begin planning the next one! Fill out the form at the bottom of this post if you would like to be notified of future workshop dates via email- and enjoy these photos!! ๐

This beautiful Charlottesville wedding was one for the books, y’all!! When I first met Corinne, several months prior to her wedding, I fell in love with her all-white, rustic yet elegant wedding day vision. We used flowers such as David Austin garden roses, ranunculus, dusty miller, eucalyptus and snowberries, and the flowers were the perfect addition to the classic look of the Trump Winery Barn and Pavilion. Corinne was such a joy to work with throughout the planning process, and the love that she shares with Tim was so evident throughout their wedding day- she was absolutely radiant! ๐ I truly enjoyed working with her, and I am honored that she chose me to be her wedding florist; best wishes to this amazing couple!! ๐ The vendor team who brought this wedding to life is listed below; enjoy these gorgeous photos taken by Alisandra Photography!

I have never paid for “traditional” business advertising, such as print ads, paid wedding accounts, bridal expos etc. Social media is such a powerful, FREE form of advertisement, that so far, has worked well for my business! For reaching new potential brides, I love to use Facebook, Instagram, local wedding blogs, styled shoots, and Pinterest!! Every time I post a blog, I upload it directly to Pinterest, so I can reach brides on that platform as well. Pinterest is one of the largest and fastest growing social media sites, and brides are on it A LOT, browsing wedding ideas. It’s one of the best places to share a wedding bouquet you created, that gorgeous bride and groom portrait you shot from a vineyard wedding last week, or that beautiful custom invitation suite! Today I’m sharing the simple way that you can pin your blog posts straight to Pinterest, so you can start promoting your content on there as well!

Paula and Edgar were married on a beautiful August day at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center in Norfolk, Virginia. They were the sweetest couple to work with, and their wedding day was absolutely spectacular! They dreamed of lush garden-inspired florals, to pair with their modern-vintage wedding inspiration, and Tara Liebeck Photography captured it all perfectly!! I was thrilled to be their wedding florist, and I got to play with lots of my favorite flowers: garden roses, peonies (shipped in from Alaska), ranunculus, dahlias, greenery and more! Paula dreamed of some beautiful floral elements, including a flower arbor, (she was the first CIE bride to use my new wooden arbor) a carnation escort card display, large flower-filled centerpieces, flower crowns for the whole bridal party, and more!! ๐ Enjoy these magical photos, and give some love to the vendor team who brought their wedding to life, below!
