The days leading up to your wedding can be filled with last-minute errands, confirmations with vendors, emails, phone calls, and guests RSVPing wayyyy after they should have, which can be super stressful for you, the bride! Instead of worrying about the details of the day, it’s best to simply focus on enjoying your last few days as a “Miss”, stress-free! So whip up a mimosa, or grab a cup of coffee, and read about some ways you can avoid stress leading up to your wedding day!

1. Hand over the reins to your wedding planner

Your wedding planner’s job is to handle all the last-minute details, phone calls, confirmations and more. They will happily manage all the vendors, projects and emails that need to be sent in the weeks leading up to your wedding, and my advice? Let them! It’s why you hired them, isn’t it?!

2. Have a little “girls night out” with your maids and friends!

One of the most fun parts about planning a wedding is all the celebrating you get to do with your best friends!! Take this time to enjoy a night out with them, whether it’s a concert, drinks, a beach day, or maybe even just a movie night at home! Just do something to unwind and have fun that isn’t wedding-related! You’ll be so much less stressed! Right before my own wedding, I went out to a Luke Bryan concert, and I had a blast hanging out with my friends- it was such a great memory, and a good way to get my mind off of last-minute details!

3. Finish any DIY projects 2-3 weeks before!

The last thing you want to be worrying about on your wedding day is if the glue completely dried on your DIY cake topper, as you are headed to your wedding venue! Hand over any unfinished DIY projects to your mom, (I did this- thank-you mom!!), sister, Maid of Honor or friend. Just pass them off to someone who can get them done so you won’t be stressed!! It’s not worth your worries 🙂

4. Start packing for your honeymoon!!

The night before or of your wedding, you don’t want to be running around your house making sure you remembered to pack extra deodorant in your carry-on. Packing your bag early prevents any stress, and gives you a fun excuse to go shopping for some new clothes! 🙂 You only get married and honeymoon once- so live it up!! 

5. Take some time off work

I would strongly suggest taking the week of your wedding off from work (or at least part of the week), to really be able to relax and kick back! This is a celebration of the beginning of your marriage, and you should go into your wedding weekend fully energized and stress-free, and not being worried about work! 

I hope each bride to be that reads this will take some time to relax and recharge before their wedding! I know firsthand that wedding planning and preparation can quickly become stressful, and that’s why it’s SO important to remember that your wedding should be a happy, relatively stress-free time 🙂 And my best piece of advice would be to hire a wedding planner!!
