For both of us, this isn’t "just" a class,, but it’s an opportunity to invest in other florists, support their growth, and contribute meaningfully to the next generation of the industry
Between the two of us, we have spent over THREE decades navigating the floral industry, learning through trial and error, refining our processes, and discovering what truly works. This class is a way to pass on our hard-earned knowledge so others don’t have to figure it all out alone. We both have a natural passion for guiding others, whether it’s team members, peers, or newcomers to the industry.
By sharing creative techniques and business practices, we hope to raise the standard of floristry, helping others build businesses that are not only beautiful, but sustainable and profitable. We've experienced challenges, pricing struggles, burnout, and more, and we're ready to share an honest look at what it takes, along with the tools to navigate every bump in the road.
At its core, The Flower School of Virginia is about connection. We both believe there is room for everyone to succeed, and we're passionate about fostering a sense of community where knowledge is shared and creativity is encouraged.

Isha operates a studio-based floral business with a team, handling a higher volume of events while also offering retail arrangements. She brings deep insight into scaling, staffing, production workflows, and balancing multiple revenue streams at once. From Isha, you’ll learn how to streamline operations, manage larger event calendars, and maintain consistency across your work.
Courtney runs a home-based, boutique studio, taking on a smaller number of exclusively high end weddings each year. From Courtney, you'll learn the ins and outs of marketing this business style, revenue diversification and innovation. She also has a background in expansion beyond traditional florals through tabletop rentals and real-touch floral rentals, providing practical ways to increase profitability.
Together, they offer insight into both scaling up and scaling intentionally—so you can choose (and build) the business model that aligns with your goals, lifestyle, and creative vision.
You’re not just learning how to arrange flowers; you’re learning how to operate like a florist, with clear systems that support long-term success. Instead of one-off techniques, you’ll walk away with a repeatable structure you can apply to every project, saving time and reducing guesswork. Courtney and Isha are actively in the industry, so everything shared is current, practical, and tested in real client work.
From prep to execution, you’ll see the behind-the-scenes decisions most workshops don’t show. This isn’t just for beginners; it’s designed to help florists at any level elevate and streamline what they’re already doing. In short, it’s not just about creating beautiful arrangements—it’s about building a smarter, more sustainable way to work.
I'm Isha- creative, floral designer, business coach...
...and unapologetic lover of beauty in all its forms - whether that's a perfectly plated dish, a killer jumpsuit, or the way fog rolls over a lake. After nearly 23 years of transforming weddings and events into sensory experiences that make people feel something, I've learned that the best design isn't just about what you see—it's about what moves you. My work has graced countless blogs and publications, but honestly? I'm more excited about the couple who loved my designs enough to eat them! I believe in bold choices, creative risk-taking, and the kind of eventscaping that doesn't whisper - it sings. When I'm not designing, you'll find me with my family - laughing loudly and debating Hip-Hop artists. Life's too short for boring flowers (or boring anything, really).
hey there!
I'm Courtney- wedding florist, latte enthusiast, mom to two toddlers...
and someone who finds beauty in the details, whether it’s a beautifully set table, a perfectly made latte, or a space that feels warm and inviting. For over 11 years, I’ve designed weddings with a focus on florals that feel layered and refined, creating spaces that feel captivating, elevated, and still personal to each couple. I'm passionate about designing a natural and welcoming atmosphere, paired with a seamless client journey. When I’m not working with flowers, I’m home with my high school sweetheart and two little ones, playing make-believe, reading stories, embracing the chaos, and soaking in all the little moments each day.
