Celia and Clint’s beautiful blush wedding was definitely a highlight of my year! When I first talked with Celia, I just KNEW that we were going to be friends, and I absolutely loved working with her throughout the design process! She is so upbeat and cheerful, and when she told me she was a nurse I could just see her sharing her sweet smile and positivity with all of her patients each day!! Celia dreamed of feminine and blush florals, full of garden roses, peonies, eucalyptus, ranunculus and more!! Her bridal bouquet was so fluffy and perfect, and I loved that she wanted blush silk ribbon streamers for each bridesmaid bouquet (and hers) to complete the look!! The Historic Post Office was the perfect setting for Celia and Clint’s wedding, and from when I first saw Celia and her girls sipping on some bubbly in the bridal suite, to when they were preparing to walk down the aisle, the whole day was full of smiles and laughter!! I even got to take a photo with the bride, as I gave Celia her bouquet!! (Scroll to the end for that!) Each detail was so beautiful and I absolutely loved Celia’s gorgeous wedding dress- she looked like a princess!! I always LOVE working with Audrey Rose Photography, and she captured each moment throughout the day perfectly! I was so honored that Celia and Clint chose me to design their flowers, and I absolutely loved working with them both! Enjoy these photos and see the end of the post for all the vendors involved! 🙂

I was honored to design the flowers for the most recent Audrey Rose Photography workshop, hosted in Hampton, Virginia at the Historic Post Office! When Audrey and Kelsey first asked me to be a part of this shoot, they described it as southern, neutral and full of lush greenery and gorgeous details, and I was SO excited to be part of the vendor team! Every single detail was absolutely exquisite, and I love the way that their design came to life so beautifully! The attendees at the workshop were definitely in for a visual treat, and I’m sure they all enjoyed learning from Audrey as they photographed the shoot. The Historic Post Office is one of my very favorite venues to work at, and I love how it lends a perfectly neutral backdrop to the photos, and is so elegant and classy! Some of the flowers I included in the designs were Japanese sweet pea, hellebore, garden roses, ranunculus, Jasmine vine, foraged dogwood, and pops of magnolia leaves. Enjoy these gorgeous photos by Audrey and see below for the list of all the participating vendors!

Kayla and Andrew were married on a beautiful October day last fall in Chesapeake, Virginia, and had the most lovely, whimsical wedding! Their color palette of mauve, white and blush was gorgeous, and one of my favorites of the year- it’s so fun to work with more unique color palettes. Kayla wanted lots of textural blooms, like dahlias, ranunculus and scabiosa paired with romantic garden roses and eucalyptus greenery for the florals, and I adore the way they all looked at her wedding! 🙂 Another fun part for me was making those adorable succulent boutonnieres- LOVE!! I loved working with these two sweethearts; they had such a lovely and heartfelt day. Enjoy these beautiful photos from Erin Daniel Photography, and be sure to show some love to the entire vendor team listed below!

Your wedding florist plays a key role in your wedding planning process. Traditionally, flowers are the most expensive and customized décor you have invested in for your wedding and flowers can enhance your wedding and bring it to a whole new level!!! Wedding Floral Designers have the unique task of seeing your inspirational images, getting to know you and your wedding vision, and then using their creativity, knowledge of floral design and personal style to create the wedding flowers of your DREAMS!! That all being said… there are a few things that your floral designer would want you to know about your wedding:

Pinterest. This website has become an absolutely massive source of inspiration and creativity for women and men all over the globe, and a the most popular topic searched on Pinterest is weddings!! Now don’t get me wrong- I LOVE Pinterest. I’m on it way too much, and I love looking at all things weddings, and house decor, summer drink recipes, fashion, DIY projects… The list goes on.  As much as I use Pinterest, there is a slight issue with it for brides browsing for wedding inspiration. Pinterest can (unknowingly) “set the bar” way too high for brides!!

Hi everyone- I hope you’re having a great week thus far! I have been on a little mini-trip with my husband this week, touring some gorgeous sights in Charleston, SC, and we have been having a lovely time 🙂 I have been thinking throughout our trip, that I haven’t felt this relaxed in a long time! Lately, all I’ve felt is that I’m “always hustling.” This is not necessarily a negative attitude to have; hard work is a virtue! But, when hard work starts to invade your life, that’s when hustle turns negative. I have had to put limits on my time, (and I am NO expert), but I have quickly realized that hustle can lead to a quick burnout. Burnout can be deadly for your business, causing you to lose inspiration, motivation and to be blunt, lose clients and profits!
